Ok i have gone to the enchanters in the mage guilds, tried it myself, but how do you get the option of strike on cast when enchanting? I'm trying to enchant a daedric longsword with a greater soul gem to do fire damage and posible electrical damage. How do i get the option to cast on strike? My enchant level is 32 so that shouldn't be a problem what is going on here?

at the bottom of enchanting box, there's a little option, starting with cast when used. click it a few times to get your desired option.

Only the Souls of Golden Saints allow for constant effects. For weapons the best effect isn't 'fire or electrical damage' but 'drain health'. Incredibly useful in a fight.

Paralyse works wonders too. Since before the paralyse effect wears off you'll prolly be able to hit the foe again and paralyse him for X more seconds.

On one of my back-up weapons I have weakness to magica + soul trap, on strike, since I find it handier to switch weapons than to switch to a spell...

i've found the calm humanoid/calm creature spells to be a better enchantment than paralyze because it cannot be reflected back at you.

i havent found a weapon yet that had a high enough enchant value to hold both a drain and an absorb spell at the same time.

I was able to get both spells on for 5-6 pts and 2s each. Nothing big I know, but I was just playing. Now here is a ? The weapon I was trying this with (haven't saved it yet) is a daedric wakisashi, rumor has it that they have an enchant value of 135 but it only showed 13. Is the enchant value also dependant on your enchant score (currently 30)?

the enchant value in game appears to be 1/10 of what shows in the construction set (as far as i've seen) that may explain it.

the enchant value is somewhat always lower than what it suppose to be.might be a bug in the game.
