Is the flamequencher behind the 8-tumbler lock in that rapax rift building? I've got the sanctum key already from another room. So do I have to waste about a half hour trying to open that lock?
Also, how can I get lots of money quick? I only have 14k gold right now, and I'll probably need more right? One last thing: Does anyone know how to complete Myles' diamond quest where he asks you to find this big diamond that's gone missing? |

1) The flame quencher wand is in the same building with the sanctum key. I don't remember how many locks you need to pick.
2) If you want to make money fast, get an alchemist (Ranger, Ninja, Bishop, or pure class) and get a skill of 15 Alchemy. Combine Light and Mod Heals to create Hv Heals and sell them back (He'Li gives better prices). Buy as much as you can from any store, repeat, camp for 24 hours for their inventory to reset, repeat again. Higher Alchemy skills can let you combine better items. 3) Shameless plus. Check my FAQ for complete details of quest. http://jbullions.topcities.com/faqs/wizardry_viii.txt [ 04-13-2002, 09:37 PM: Message edited by: Annheiser ]

one reason i like games like this so much--i usually forget many item's locations between one finish and the next start. I just started again, and i don't remember where i got those things, just that i always get them...I can tell you one great way to make money is mixing potions, any alchemy-capable char can start mixing at 15 skill, and the skill improves really fast by mixing. There are lists in this forum, use search. YAY!!! thanks, forum crew, i really am happy there's a searcher now!

technically the best return on investment (if you have 50 alchemy skill) is pandemonium powder from flash+sneeze powder, but they're tough to come by, so I just do a long-winded renewal potion.
Light Heal+Mod Heal=Heavy Heal + Cure Disease = Renewal sometimes I go through the heavy heal+ Cure light condition=Cure disease route for extra skills, and getting rid of the vendors' cure light condition potions. Renewals sell the best (I think) to Sadok in Marten's bluff. The big diamond you get in the northern wilderness near the umpani camp. You kill the band of rogues, it's on the rogue leader.
