OK, here is a stupid question.
I have seen many references to the following items which Mage_77 speaks of... "Loudspeaker, high Voltage transformer & demon Doll arent in the game. before it came out they were removed/forgotten. never ehard a reason about why they arent in the game just know they never made it in." How then is it that we know that these things were ever thought of? And how is it that we know what combines with what in order to make a whozits if the nag dab it parts aren't in the game? Now to the Rift, and the Treasure Room. I used all four deposit slips on the tube, however.... chests are still closed in the room. From a previous post I understood that all chests would be open following "withdrawl" through the tube. In game, if you have detect secrets running, and perhaps if you don't, you get a pop-up message saying something like, 'You notice a hole into the room blah blah blah, something something.... see if you can find a way in.' I guess I can accept that there is no way in, but I am having a hard time choking it down. Does anyone have anything to add to this much discussed subject?

The official Sirtech strategy guide lists these gadgets and what they combine with. As for how to get into that room, no one knows yet. Ask Linda Curry

I've been through the game twice, and am resigned (yet still dreaming of a spoil for) about the places you should be able to go, but can't: the Treasury and the Fish Tank (what is that turtle thing anyway?) in the Rapax Castle and the Lighthouse, the Mook Ship, the Sunken Ship and the Condemned Building in Arnika.
Did I miss any?

Linda Curry....read the game credits in the manual
![]() ChopSuey, what matters is, did you get the items? If so, then don't worry if the chests are open or closed. All items appear in the little wall safe next to the tube. Just put in a slip, take the item, and so on. Solomon, I was really disappointed about that lighthouse. Of all the "inaccessible" places in the game, that was the one I wanted to get to most of all. Can't think of any other locations; you've listed them all. |

I know what you mean. I was quite disappointed to find out that you still can't go underwater even wearing scuba gear unless it's a place you are supposed to.
![]() What I find most strange, however, are the 'shadows' you see on the automap that show areas that have obviously been created but that there is no way for you to access. A good example is the long suspension bridge in the N. Wilderness. You can see that the water on either side of the bridge is quite wide yet there's no way to get off the bridge and enter the water, even if you were wearing the scuba gear. So why was it ever put in?

My guess is, at least some of those areas were meant as mini-quests of some kind that they never had time to implement. Wiz 8 is shorter than the last couple in the series, so it's reasonable to figure that a few things were left out. Pity about that.

Because you were already discussing Rapax Castle: What is the secret tunnel in the jail good for. It leads to the main halls but only to some kind of ladder where I don' get any further.
