I just rescued Anselm in the Mountain Wilderness. Does he serve any purpose? i.e., do I need to do anything for him/get anything from him?

Nope. He serves no purpose. I don't even recall any information he gives you that you don't already have.
Heck, he and his buds weren't even very useful when I got attacked near him -- they were all wasted by Mountain Sprites casting Quicksand. [img]smile.gif[/img]
