Just startet playing wiz8, have som exp. with other crpg games such as the baldurs gate series, icewind dale and planescape torment. I have so far never played past arnika and the graveyard, have been testing out some different classes and races. The game looks great, but I have som "problems" with my priest and my samurai. Need som pointers, my priest can she do anything else than heal and minor "buffing", should I increase strength to make her more powerfull in melee combat? And my samurai, where should I put mye points when I level up? Senses/Dexterity/Inteligence/Speed/Strength and what abilities, dual critical close sword? Where shoul my focus be for those to classes, The samurai "always" hit but the damage is mediocre (~5-10) compared to that of the fighter (~20-30).

Last question: Antone the Rapax can make some custom items right? found some interesting things that he might be able to use, skull mummy powder and so on, will he offer to make it when I have all he need or must I ask him nice?

Thnx for the help

Welcome, oh Gothmog, LOTB, to Ironworks !!

Where you put your points when going up in level should also be influenced by what the rest of your party is. If your priest is not used as a fighter, then priority should be given to Int and Piety. There are some decent weapons later on for spell casters, but by that time your fighter types should be well developed anyway.

As for the samurai, if it is one of your main monster bashers, then I would increase Strength, followed by Dex, Vit, or Sen. Increase ability for main weapon to 50 as soon as you can.

Don't forget to give all non spell casters some points to Int now and again, it helps them gain skill increases faster.

Very minor spoiler below.

As for Antone, you are on the right track, ask him about "custom items"

Thnx for the help, in my party I have a liz fighter, faerie mage, hobbit bard, mook gadegeteer, fellpurr samurai and a (dog lookalike can't remember the name of the race) priest. So I guess I want both the samurai and the priest to be able to dish out some melee damage. Is the samurai any good as something else than a monster basher?

Yes your Samurai can become a decent spellcaster (mage) later on, but it requires patience. You'll have to practice a lot to improve his realm skills and wizardry, but then you'll find his magic very valuable.

Hi there!

The priest is an "Haler" in the party so set your xp on Int and piety to they er maxed out then also max out "Divine realm" first and maby Air because of the "puryfie" air spell you get later on!(Your Mage also get this spell) but you can find better spells for here!

Samurai have i find a little disepontning in the game he is not so good befor he are on level 16-17 i think! But use your xp on Dex, speed and Str, Close combat, sword skills and Critical hit! It is better with an Faeri Ninja then Samurai thats my guess!

Håper du forstår min dårlige Engelsk ha ha!!

Thnx for the help, guess I miss the priest type of the baldur gate series, mighty warriors of god, and of course i miss Minsc and Boo.

Fairi Ninja - Ninja( Får Cane of Corpus) senere i Trynton
Mook Ranger- Ranger
Rawulf - Priest
Faeri - Mage
Faeri - Alcemist
