Retro dungeon (whoa!)

Zounds! The rune dungeon in the N. Wilderness is driving me crazy! I appreciate the sameness of the walls, very retro, but I don't remember it being so difficult to solve a maze. If you want to see all the monsters, forget the "take one side and follow it" wisdom. Do people use grid paper to solve this? The automap is pretty useless, unless there is a trick I'm missing! I'll come back to it, at some time, to get the Amulet. But, sheesh!

Well, if you want to cheat a bit (or use some hard-earned wisdom from another player), you can always go to http://www.volberding.com/Wizardry8/...meteryWalk.htm and get the maps that Moni provided to him. It might save you some headaches. Especially since the automap seems to try to put all three of the Retro dungeons on top of each other. Oh - and the Amulet is found in the Mtn. Wilderness dungeon, not the one in the N. Wilderness.

Northern Wilderness Retoro dungeon is recommended to level 18 to 19 party. These level parties easily will get much EXP points and get nice items.

That dungoen is the almost most difficoult maze in the game but i only walk around and kill all the monsters with no problems and it has an wry cool monster like " Killer Cube" and so on he he so it iy pretty cool!
