Hi. I'm in the swamp and read several posts that it's a great place to rack up experience. I'm almost at Crock's house and my encounters generally happened when I rested. Where do you go? Thanks.

If you have X-Ray, follow those red dots.

If you don't, don't worry -- just wander around and the red dots'll find you.

There are two huts in the north, if you're looking for fights just rest in one of them by the door entrance.

You will prolly be attcked but the attackers will not be able to flank you there

If you have found Marten's Idol, you can always use the BrekBrek trick. Just return the leg to Crock then return to BrekBrek and kill him again. Return the legt to Crock collect 75000 Exp. Rinse and Repeat. At the earlier levels this is a great way to gain Exp. After about level 14 or 15 it takes too many trips to gain a level but it can be useful if you are in the area and close to another level.

Mountain Wilderness is the greatest place to gain XP (short of ascension peak) my level 16 party gains an average of about 130,000 XP per combat.

Portal near Bela. fight the whole way down to the cave. Sleep there safely. Boost up. Portal near Bela.

Each trip neats about 500,000 XP, plus you get a lot of practice against Sulferous Scorchers, Djinns, Granite Golems,...
