Ring of Protection

I'm trying to get the Ivory Blade made by Ferro, but he needs a "ring of protection". I guess that is its REAL name? I tried other protective rings but no luck. Any ring around by that name?

They are fairly plentiful in the early stages of the game.
I had sold all of mine by the time I got to Ferro and found one in a chest in the Rapax Away camp but in my second game, I've noticed that Crock has them in his inventory every now and then. Ring of Protection is the name of the ring.

Sexus may have one that you can use (either by stealing it off of him or recruiting him). That's where I ended up getting mine.

Bandits on the Arnika road seem to drop them every so often.

i know a surefire place to get one.

go to trynton and find the waterfall (it splits into two falls). jump in and at the base of the left hand one is a nice, shiny RoP, just waiting for someone to come and grab it!

if you stay in the river, you can either climb back up at the base of the bridge or just go over the falls into the water below. stay next to the cliff, go to where the fishing rod is and grab the line. it will lift you back up to ground level. if you go a tad further down first tho, there's some potions in a little nook.

If you have completed the Rapax Templar quest, the Rapax Mage RPC has one that you can take if you recruit him.

WOW how the heck did you get all the way to Ferro without having seen a couple of bazillion rings of protection (yes just plain protection a +1 to ac) I have been selling them left and right.

He did see a bazillion of RoP, but ge did sell them since he also saw a godzillion of rings and amulets better than RoPs

Thanks for the help, all! It wasn't as dire as it looked. The Rapax mage had one, as you said. I had this scenario in my head: I would have to trudge (or zap)back to Arnika or Trynton, whatever, and was hoping the thingie was a bit closer than that!!! Yes, I have tons of rings but sold the RoPs because I had better stuff. I guess it's like needing the dagger to get in the cemetery, you don't think you need minor objects to get major stuff. This game is sneaky that way. In most RPGs there is something "odd" about things that you need later in the game...BTW, I like this game ALOT but it's keeping me from other things I want to do, and I want to immediately play it again with 1 or 2 characters instead of 6. The next month or two is gone. I'm doomed.
