The King's Apartment key won't work in the "small keyhole" in the east wall (where it's supposed to go). I keep getting the message "On second thought..." I've tried all around the keyhole, but no good. HELP! This is probably the only way to the Dark Tower.

Yes, that's the way to the Tower. I usually walk right up until the keyhole is inches from "my" face and then use the King's key on it. It's never taken me more than a couple of tries to insert the key and open the door.
You might try sending me a zipped copy of your saved game and I'll see if my system will allow me use the key.

That works! Getting up REALLY close finally allowed the key to work.
