1) My samurai does very little damage but once in a while does a lightning strike and hits 4 times or so. Is this the same as critical strike(which I have been pumping every level)? I have yet to see the samurai hit and see the message saying critical hit...

2) Is there a reason for a fighter to "attack" instead of "berserk"?? I am berserking now and doing much more damage and don't seem to get hit more as is supposed to happen.

3) In the upper monastery how do I get the armor in the glass case?

Thanks.

Crits are instant kills. Lightning strikes per turn of standard strength.

I found no reason tp switch to normal attacks with my fighters, berserking has a lot more damage output and so far I havent seen any negativ side-efects.
They use up a bit more stamina, but that doesnt matter.

To get the Armor in the showcase u have to switch the giant "microwaveheater" to maximum, and all glas in the monastary will be destroyed.

As far as I know only samurais get lightningstrikes.
Monks and Samurais do crits in close combat, rangers and ninjas do them at range.

Actually, as far as I know, the microwave thing only destroys itself. You break the rest of the glass in the area in a different room nearby (though in a similar manner).

Samurais, Ninjas, and Monks all develop slower (at least in my experience), meaning that for awhile, they tend to be weaker than say - straight fighters, but they do eventually come into their own. It takes longer for these characters to develop their skills to a point where you begin to notice them, but once they do.. watch out.

Lightning Strike is a Samurai ability. No other class is capable of this. Critical strike is one of those slow-developing skills. As you level, and if you continue focusing your skill points in this area, you'll begin to see them more often. It is also heavily influenced by Senses and Speed. Pumping these two attributes will also affect how often you see critical strikes.

you go into the bell tower, behind the locked door. and turn the dial all the way up.

the 3 bells ring and shake everything so much that all the glass in the monastery breaks.

there's other areas with glass doors or windows. maybe you should go back to those and check them out too.

one room may involve doing something you haven't been able to do anywhere so far in the game. so to steal an advertising phrase..... "think different".
