Problem with HLL ball

I put the black box i brought from bayjin into the hole of the machine on the ground foor of cosmodrome, and it said somth like 'tracking device is missing'; then i insert the HLL ball into the orbital control computer on the 2nd floor and it still said that black ship jammed scanning;
black box i insert dowstairs is inactive and i cannot retrieve it or do anything else about it;
is this correct and i will be able to read last coords of black ship from the black box (yes, it is the box from bayjin), or something is wrong and i have to load (argh, distant) save ?
if it's allright, just say 'SPOILER', and i will find it myself;

The black box should have provided you with some quick info and then just sat there. At the tower you'd calculate the required coordinates from that previous info.

i must have missed that quick info; i will have to click on nice red lips by the dialog box and roooooll waaaaaaaaayyy back.. hope it's still there;
