I have both an completely new and a old DVD drive in my computer, and I tried to install Wizardry 8 on the new Drive, first it took alot of time, before the game even started the installation, and then after a while, a red error screen appeared in the installation, and the game could not finish the installation. Heck it did not even reach 1 % of the installation. hen I tried installing it on my old DVD drive, and I did fine. Have this happened to anyone else?
By the way, my DVD-drive is called: DVD-16X BDV316B |

Hrm, not tried it - you might wanna head to wizardry8.com and post it on their official tech support forum. May be something about not being able to read dvdroms properly?

I have a dvd drive and had no problems with installation. Are you sure your new dvd was properly installed? Do you have the latest drivers? Have you tried installing other games with the new dvd drive? If you actually have two dvd's on the same machine, maybe there is a conflict somewhere, don't know.
This kind of thing is hard to advise on from a distance. But if it installed with the original dvd, then it's installed, right? Can't you play it from there? judee who would like to help, but is NOT an expert on these thech matters. |

Everyone, Donkey is Herrx/Vivar from the VN Wizardry 8 board. An annoying little troll who posts the same question over and over again. Please just ignore him, and hopefully he'll go away soon. He has asked exactly this same question at least 10 times on that board, and refuses to listen when he's told to take it to the tech support board. We suspect he's trying to run a warez copy of the game, either that or mentally unbalanced. Here are a couple of his threads from there for your amusement and edification.
