that monks OWN!
after getting both sides of my rear kicked by the Rat Breeders, i decided to leave Trynton and gain some lvls by running around, and to go get some new equipment.
so, not more than 100 bunny hops (don't ask me why such a funny measuring unit just popped into my head) my lvl 9 party was assaulted by not 3, not 4, not EVEN 5, but 6 juggernauts! I'm like yah, i want xp but i'm not THAT serious about it. (plus i'd heard bad stories about these guys on here). Anyway, i ran into a corner, and through a stroke of luck managed to get the back row of enemies put to sleep and immobile while the inner ones were frightened and trying to escape but couldn't, all while my warriors are happily working them over with weapons of non-mass(particular?) destruction.
The fight dragged on, and on (yeah, 6x235hp == a lot). i offed the first 3 and everyone's magic and stamina was getting low. my alchemist's water magic's tank was getting empty. everyone is getting sore, and angry etc., wondering how they are going to get the strength to finish the fight.
Then, out of the blue, my monk desides it's her time to take the eb and flow of life into her hands.
Next round probably was about round 1023) , INSTANT KILL. Everyone cheers and says, "wow, we knew it would happen some year!" But then,
Next round: INSTANT KILL.
Everyone is in awe. "we're not worthy. we're not worthy," they chant.
Now, after two short rounds time, there is but 1 ugly mound of jibbering, slashing, monstrosity left standing.
Victory was ours! as well at 8000xp (THAT'S ALL?!?)

anyway, i just wanted to say that, with the monks great fighting abilities, and spell casting abilities, it is one of the best all-round classes.

The Moral: Don't Tick Off the Monks!!!

But yes, Juggernauts (and all Modai's) Suck for exp. I always wonder why a Savant trooper with 65 hp and no special attack gives about 4 times the exp of a 250 hp Juggernaut!
