Ok, goods only good if ur a wizard

I've noticed that group wise unless you a wizard class its not very easy to make a good,good party.

the basic group should include

Keldorn
Jan
Amomen

The rest arn't as good. Nalia seems weak. Valygar is good. Hier'Darlis seems week. Cernd seems weak. Jaherie is useless as I have no use for a druid. Only her fighting ablity keeps her going and harpers call. I would keep that guy u meet at the start who's a thief but I'll just loose him later on.

What do u all think?. Mages are the way to go I think.

nalia "archmage with 5 dragons to her name" is weak? sure, if your picking locks. otherwise she one of the most powerful mages in the game. to be honest i only use nalia to pick locks while imoens dead.

you can keep yoshi, melusine posted it a while back. i think its something like leave hime in the copper coronet, adjacent to the door, whenyou leave for spellhold. when you come back, enter the copper coronet and pause , talk to yoshi befor he dies and take him into your group. then resurrect him. i have a feeling this will cause problems later on, in ToB.

i tend to find it easiest to make a good group anyway, and i dont have any of the ones you chose.

i usually end up with:

me
minsc
jaheira
yoshi->imoen
nalia
aerie

I'll take your word for it that Nalia powerful. I'm gonna find out anyway. You should be able to complete the game with any balenced group shouldn't u.

...as far as i can see, Valygar is pretty useless, same for Mazzy. My favorite Party contains :

me
Keldorn
Anomen
Nalia
Aerie
and, ahem, Valygar...

? IIRC, Valgar does have decent stats. Make him Dual-Wield Celestial Fury and his own Katana and you are set. Nalia is a good Mage, and I have never really seen her as a Thief. Haer'Dalis only becomes useful in ToB, and Cernd is a better Druid than Jaheira.
