Pleeease help me!!!

It's possibly a stupid but utterly frustrating matter. How does someone break the glass frames in the upper monastery in order to get the armor and the monastery scroll? It's not possible to do it in combat mode since there is no apparent enemy and thus the weapons are deactivated. How can anyone interact with it? The cursor doesn't change form when I place it above the glass. I didn't find it in the forums so I understand it's a common truth how to do it. Unfortunately it eludes me. Please help me.

Hello Blacktiger!

Have you explored the entire Upper Monastery yet? Have you opened the big locked (requires a key) doors in the Library? If not, and you don't want any more hints....READ NO FURTHER . Otherwise, scroll down. (Gee, I hope I left enough space between all this stuff!)

Behind the locked doors in the Library is a machine. Turn the knob to the far right and press the button.... Big Clang! All the glass (more than one location)shatters. Now you can go big up all the goodies!! Have fun!
