Hi Sazerac, everyone

Ah, seeing your post made me think, so I found my old save files today and still had some work to do to get them to the end of Wiz 7! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Well, I guess I will be importing my old Wiz 7 party, as when I fired the game up I first noticed I hadn't played it in 8 months! I had left my heros near New City since I had gone back to take out the Beast with 1000 Eyes (and whupped his tentacled butt too) and got them all to around level 35.

I had several stashes of items down in the Hall of the Gorrors, which I had picked through last game. Then to the rest in New City, I was surprised to see items that had come over with my party from Wiz 6!

I had already sorted all the items and it looked like I had all the best goodies and then some, so I decided to huff it back to Helazoid town of Sky City.

Man, I sure forgot some things, like how to get there for starters! Everything came back after a few minutes of swearing and I got to the spaceship and rescued Vi Domina without a hitch.

So, more so than the items, I'm curious to see what the starting sequence will be tomorrow. Maybe Vi will start with my party as an NPC? I've seen pictures of her in Wiz 8, so I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

I think I'm going to get off work a little early tomorrow, and I'll post a report on what happens when my old party dusts off their armor and charges into Wiz 8. I've thought of perhaps changing a class or two before I import them, since who knows what their starting power will be in the new game?

I've got a Faerie Ninja, Faerie Monk, Rawulf Samurai, Felpurr Samurai, Gnome Valkyre and an Elven Lord. Their all sporting the best equipment and carrying loads of the higher level items as well. I can't wait to see what they look like, I've waited years for this!!!

And with that, a offer a salute to all of you players eager to play Wiz 8 tomorrow. Despite how much I loved Wiz 7, after seeing the demo of Wiz 8 I've realized how far games have come since 1992. I think this game will change the face of RPG playing as we have known it!

Good luck, my friend, and remember to keep that "camera" ready for the Dominus Digest! I'll be not far behind you, rolling a new party and trying it out from scratch.
