i was attempting to create characters to use in a design, to be my playtest party, when i noticed that two of thier statistics were having "problems"- intelligence and wisdom are always set to the minimum allowable for the class/race i'm using. i couldn't see anything different in the baseclass.txt or race.txt files, so i am assuming that it something to do with the engine.
if it matters, i was testing from inside the editor, using the start at beginning option. (i'm using version .907)

thanks to arrowhawk, i've done a bunch more testing. it turns out that it is only the design i was working on and one of my test designs. it seems in both of them, the game.dat file is loopy. not only is there the problem of mins being rolled (i can change them by tabbing, etc.) but the graphics around the highlighted choice are screwy too. i tried creating some new designs in case it was the latest version, but they all worked fine. both of my problem designs were made with version .904.
the odd thing is that if i import the game.dat and level info into a different design, the rolling mins problem doesn't occur, but the screwy graphics still do.
this is not a bug, but must be a corrupt file somewhere.

Just to let you know I tested my characters in version .907. My only problem is getting use to using the chain statements in DC to construct some more complex NPC interaction. I am sure if I will figure it out, but it seems a little different than UA. Also, I am sure that the "block logic" option wll be useful as I practice with it more.
