sorry for so many questions but im having trouble again
how can you read how much money a party has and give them that amount in treasure effectively doubling their money |

If you mean starting money go to the global settings. under the global button. If you mean at some point in the game your probably talking some kind of gdpl script or maybe a logic block but i doubt that one.

I can make the Logic Block event query the party's current money total, expressed as the default coin type (default is platinum). You could then do an event chain based on a numeric comparison, such as <, =, or > some literal amount you specify.
There might be a way to also give a specific amount of money to the party also. I'll need to mess around with the Logic Block event to find out. If this is possible, then what you request can be done by using attributes to pass values (money ammounts in this case) between Logic Block events.
