i know that i can import and export a whole spell table, but is there any way to do it with individual spells from the table?

Not directly. You can export the spell database to a text file. Then copy the spell you want from that text file to the spells.txt file containing all of the default spells. Then restart the editor and the spell should be there.
Is that what you're looking for, or something else entirely?
