I just encountered something a little odd that I haven't been able to find many other reportages of, or indeed a solution to the problem, so thought I'd report...

**Spoilers** (To those who haven't completed TotSc or specifically, Durlags Tower)

After solving all of the riddles posed by the four wardens and eventually winning the fantastically slow tactically heavy melee, I return to the area where "Love" died to claim my wardstone to the next level, but merely find in its place the same bottle of sweet crimson I initially give to solve the puzzle. Scratching my chin, I check the roll-dialogues to see where and what the cause of death was. I'm assuming this is a bug which still somehow sees "love" as blue-circled and not in its hostile state for the wine to still remain, despite having solved the riddle. No wardstone was to be found in the immediate area at all.

I have attempted to CLUAConsole the item in (Misc2B) but alas, the portal remains locked to my haggard and frustrated party, even if I have the item in my possession and try opening it with that character. Perhaps there is something I can trigger further with someone's deeper knowledge of the CLUAconsole?

*Yawn*. Best sleep this session off for now. Might try repeating the battle tomorrow (giving special adoring attention to love) to see if the bug repeats.

Tis only my second Tutu problem really. I've also had a few crashes here and there though.
Hopefully this one is easily solved, because I'm rather enamoured with how the game has progressed.

Thanks in advance to replies,
CD

*Peers into the vast emptiness of the forums a little sheepishly*.

Well, obviously this situation was indeed an anomally. My last save game was back at the start of Durlag's, but it didn't take me too long to get back to where I was and beat the Wardens again. This time I watched the precise positioning of the aforementioned corpse when it fell and woe and behold, there it was, the wardstone I needed...

*Screws up scroll and tosses it over his shoulder*. Another 'bug' for the archives.

Is it safe for me to rest now upstairs and then come back down to level 2?
I can't remember (only my second time through Durlags) but I do know this infernal dungeon is a bit tricky with respawning and that there's a particular time limit on certain wardstone doors...

Love always drops the bottle of wine where "Warder" disappears and "Love" is created--this much is not a bug. As for the missing wardstone, you probably didn't kill Love where you think you did--his body, and the wardstone, are likely in a dark area of the map, or behind a wall, or even in a wall. This last is possible because BioWare messed up a little on this level, it's possible for enemies to wander into areas where they can neither see or be seen--this happens most commonly around doors. In my last trip through Durlag's -2, Fear disappeared. I was running around, leading the Warders a merry chase, I killed Pride, Greed and Love, but . . . Fear was nowhere to be found. No, the only thing I can't figure out is why the CLUA'd Wardstone didn't work. Are you sure you created the right one?

As for the "don't Rest once you've opened the doors in Durlag's -3, or you'll never get them open again--I can now confirm that that is false. As far as I can tell, there is always a way for the party to open a path through the level, no matter which staircase they start from.

Thanks for confirming that resting myth, Six,
I worried quite unnecessarily about that. My party did struggle somewhat through the remainder of Durlag's Tower, stopping to rest finally in the Air Chamber after disposing of three of four of the guardians prior to the chess game. Had a few reloads clearing the third level out with characters falling at the rotting hands of Greater Ghoulery and backstabbery but generally found the demonKnight battle easier the second time around even without greater malison or cloudkill at my disposal. (which I used so effectively last time...)

I stashed alot of extra loot in various parts of each level and ended up retrailing my steps to pick up an enchanted axe for Kagain that I'd forgotten about on level 3.

I'm pretty sure I had the right CLUA code, but the source I got it from might have been incorrect. CLUAConsole is not something I've traditionally used very much but thankfully that's neither here nor there now and I've been able to move onwards. It was probably in a dark patch somewhere that I couldn't see - the wall scenario sounds pretty surreal though.

Is it possible to import one's character into BG2 after a game of Tutu? Seems an obvious question to ask now that I'm finished with a resounding 'yes' being the expected answer. But I booted up BG2 to check and it didn't seem to be recognising any importable savegames present.

EDIT: Erm, well, that'll teach me to try fiddling about in the early hours instead of going to bed. The savegame is merely cut and pasted into the Bg2 'save' folder, not 'mpsave', as I'd tried to do. To BG2 then, tally ho and all that!
