Well well well. The writing of dragons of a summer flame left me feeling that i indeed, had chosen to read a good book despite knowing the ending and what happened (thank you very much internet message boards with no spoiler warnings.)
To make this a more pleasent and easier to type message i will place the things i liked and disliked in a nice, handy list. With spoiler warnings for the person who has yet to read the book and wants a nice surprise.

5 good things about the book
1. The writing -Written in a descriptive and engrossing manner, it leaves precisly the right things to the imagination.
2. Killing off Sturm and Tanin- Those guys are just incredibally annoying.

3. Raistlin coming back.... enough said
4. Raistlin's and caramon's reunion. ditto
5. Usha and Tas... Funny and yet serious enough to give a sense of the danger they were facing.

5 things i disliked
1. Steel. Ugh, make me puke when he talked about the honor thing, like some honor driven rambo guy.

2. How Tas "banished" Chaos. yeah right. A little dagger banished the essence of the universe? sure.
3. The way that basically everyone and their uncle was brought back in the book, except for the 2 best characters, riverwind and goldmoon. Damn
4. Usha. Little brat, don't know why she was incldud except as an answer to raistlin's child.
5. The way that reorx was portrayed as a gambling addicted dwarf.

Hmm I haven't read Dragons of Summer Flame yet. In fact, I've only read the Legends and Chronicles trilogies. Do you have any recommendations of the Dragonlance books?

BTW, who are Tanin, Usha, and Reorx?

Tanin is the son of Caramon, named after Tanis. Usha is the mysterious blonde that lives with the Irda, who may or may not be the daughter of Raistlin. Reorx is the dwarf god with a gambling problem(also the creator of Ansalon).

If you want to read a good DL book, dont' read the preludes except for Darkness and Light, then war of souls. ALso read the raistlin series (soulforge and brothers in arms). Legend of huma, kaz the minotaur(best character in DL IMHO). Doom brigade is good as well.
