Ishmael by Daniel Quinn

Ok, so this doesn't have anything to do with gaming, but I think a lot of people here would probably enjoy this book. Several of you may have already read it. It was pitched to me as "a pretend conversation between a teacher and student," but that doesn't really do it justice. The move "Instinct" starring Cuba Gooding Jr and Anthony Hopkins was very loosely based on this book. Definately didn't do it justice. I think Ishmael (and the other books Quinn has written on this subject: "My Ishmael," "The Story of B," and the non-fiction "Beyond Civilization") are some of the most important books of the last 50 years.

That is a bold statement, but if you are at all worried about the explosion of the population of the human race and the consequences it has for the world I think you will agree with me and enjoy these books.
