I'm in the bandit camp, with a solo f/m/t and can't kill the guy with the hammer. Basicly, i hit him maybe once, then he almost kills me and i run away. I'm level 2/3/3 atm i think, maybe a bit more, maybe less, and have a THACO of 15, and 18 hp. Should i leave it a while and go level up a bit first? If so, i need help leveling, i can't find anything to do

Use some cheesy rest-in-cave-get-attacked-by-flesh-golems tactics.

a lot of the BG1 'quests' are acquired just by walking round the wilderness - you often get given and can slove the quests in the same map

everything south of candlekeep and west of the road to beregost can be managed at lower levels i find - try all the possible exits (N,S,WE & W) from every map you visit

Taugose Khosann is way too powerful to kill in hand to hand combat without a very low AC and a low thac0. You might get lucky with some arrows every now and then. Just have him chase around one hasted character while the others use missile weapons against him. I don't remember if he has magic resistance, so try using magic missiles and other spells on him.

Righty. So, with my ONLY character, i'll run around hasted, every now and again firing an arrow at him, and some MM too. I'll also pick up some XP first.

[EDIT]ed spelling

Sounds about right. You could try backstabbing.

Might as well post my little dilema in here too. I am over west of beregost along the cost, the problem is them Shrine women they are kicking my ass with that spell they use that makes my own characters go against members of my party. So is there any spell that I might be able to use or potion even, cause as long as Minsc is ok he can wipp their mermaid butts I'm sure

Yes, there is.

Experiment. There is NEVER only one way to get the job done. Consider doing what an adventuring party might do, which is steering clear of these powerful creatures and possibly going back later. Consider using Stealth and/or Invisibility to close on them quickly, or even sneaking past them entirely. Look through your reportoire of available spells and think about what might be useful.

One note: I strongly advise making sure that your party members are not on the recieving end of the Sirines' Arrows of Biting. Those things hurt.
