In case you did not already know, another writer Emma Tennant wrote 2 sequels to Pride and Prejudice some time ago:

a) Pemberley
b) An Unequal Marriage

I also came across another crime-based story entitled "Darkness at Pemberley" (unfortunately, I can't recall the author).

Anyway, you might want to check up on these books. They probably would not be in the exact flavour as Jane Austen wrote them, but they're the best we can get hold of at this point.

I've read 'Pride and Prejudice' but was unaware of the sequels. By what you said in your last paragraph, I assume you haven't read them yet. It'd be interesting to see if they are as good as Jane Austen's.

Thanks!

It's a wonderful book, Bahamut! In fact, it's my favourite Nothing too high-brow and sombre like Charlotte Bronte's books. Easy to read, delightful characters... erm, am I sounding like a saleslady here

It does? Well, I do like reading, so I tend to buy books rather than borrow them from the library or rent them from a second-hand bookstore (I've got sensitive skin that reacts badly to such books somehow ) even if I'm not sure how good they are
