Salvatore is the author of choice it seems. He has a long line of books based on Drizzt, plus a good series called the cleric quintet. I'd recommend starting out with Homeland by him I think, then reading through that trilogy and then the next one called the Icewind Dale trilogy. After that you can continue with Drizzt and Co's adventures or break for a bit and read his Cleric quintet, which will set the stage for some events in future books about Drizzt. Other popular authors are Elaine Cunningham and Troy Denning. I enjoyed Denning's Twilight Giants trilogy a lot. ------------------ ![]() "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans." - Lennon |

![]() Troy Denning is awesome. Tryout the 'Harper's' series. A lot of different authors do those, find one ya like and continue on the quest for *cheap* entertainment. (8 days..I'll be at Waldenbooks at 11:15 am lunchbreak) New Salvatore book...can't wait |

If you are planning on buying homeland, take my advice and buy the intire dark elf trilogy. For once you finish the first part you just have to read the others too and its cheaper to buy the intire series.

It would be best, I think, to start with the Icewind Dale Trilogy.
"The Crystal Shard" "Streams of Silver" "The Halflings Gem" These are the books that set the stage for all that follow and were the ones Drizzt was first seen in. You might also buy just about any of the Harpers novels. All are written by different authors and they are stand alone books. "Night Parade" is a wonderful Harpers novel. ------------------ ![]() The line between good and evil is razor sharp. Be careful of misteps, lest you find yourself spitted upon your own blade. |
