Talk about hard. I kept trying to understand HOW they get the line number.
Say in baseitems.2da the number is 16807948 ok, well a tlk file for a mod starts at number 16777216. Well, in the tlk file, the line called is doesn't show 16777216, its line shows 30732!!! Huh? So I find out that if you do this math: If the index is above 0x1000000 mask off the "1" And the 24 bit is masked off so 16777216 == 0 since 16777216 == 0x1000000 => 0x0 i.e: 16807948 minus 16777216 = 30732! My line number in the tlk file. How did I actually GET that number "16777216" ? Well, I saw CEP's way of numbering, and chose the next value not in use. Damn it, why not just SHOW THE bloody 24-bit number! Anyway, I'm sure I have confused the shit outta ya, so let me tell ya what this means: I can now add new spells, new classes and such. I will add new help hints (for when loading)--someone suggested this--I'll add some funny ones too, like "If you value your life, don't sleep with Misty" ![]() But some good tips too. So in the next patch, you will be replacing the tlk file with efu_cep10.tlk. Still working on it, but I'm working more on getting the new levels done ![]() So this opens us up to new goodies to add! Had to share.. Pain in the add though.. Hey... Maybe a new class called "Halasters Apprentice" Hmm..... ![]() ![]() |

You're right . I haven't a clue about what this means for Undermountain.
I suppose the bottom line means the dowloads and Haks get more complicated. What the hell. If we can get new classes and powers then that is great. On another tack, is all this going to be compatible with NWN2? |

Nope, They originally said that you could import all your stuff from NWN1 to NWN2, but now they say 'just the scripts'. That is lame as hell.
OH well. If NWN2 *is* good, I will host a second server and make a new Undermountain.. Same NPC's in the Tavern though Krung is a classic NPC Now don't think just because NWN2 comes out that I'll stop NWN1's server. Hell no. IMO I think NWN2 will bomb maybe, but even if it succeeds, NWN1 EFU will remain online, and I'll keep updating it till I finish it.. |

new spells?
finally? really and truly? *BEARHUGS ZIROC!!!!* Thank You Thank You Thank You!!! *weeps with Jamaican joy and Canadian charisma!* A little more somberly though, if you are adding more spells and possibly character classes, will you be rifling through the NeverWinter Vault? I know I posted up a few links concerning new spells some time ago (which I'd have to go and look up) for the Undermountain. I had no idea how difficult it was to actually put those in. As a nonscripter, I've been loathe to even attempt trying to construct a full module on my own in order to properly learn the toolkit. (This may change with NeverWinter Nights 2, however.) And when you are talking about the possibility of adding new character classes in, that would be awesome. I am curious, though about what that means for EFU. Would that mean EFU is a step closer to going whole hawg and becoming compatible with the PRC, or would you be selecting certain additional classes you believe would best compliment the module on the whole? Something completely offkilter, however, is this: will there be an official brothel (all-gender friendly) opening up inside of Waterdeep or (more frighteningly) Skullport? Sure, you can't actually see or do anything with the two current ladies of the evening, but I'm sure there's a thesible reason for such an establishment to exist... Can the TLK file stop the use of Timestop affecting the whole server??? Man it can be a pain.
