AARGH!!! Computer guys help me out

I got a new computer a month or two ago and reinstalled BG & TOSC...because really what is a computer without them??? Anyway I have been playing on and off as I am apt to do but lately due to some personal problems and a crapload of homework it has been more off than on...but I digress...I tried to enter the Cloakwood last night and each time that I head east from the Friendly Arm Inn I get a C++ runtime error and the game shuts down...please give me a hand here guys...thanks

Ok...firstly, what is the exact game error? That way I can check in a list (if I can remember the site) to see what it means. Also I take it you are fully patched yeh? (afterall, what would one except from a baggins)

Also, does your disk have any scratches on it?

suprisingly enough when I tried again to get the information that you requested it worked finally. thanks anyway, Baggins
