Has there ever been a comprehensive list of what you CAN actually visit in Waterdeep (inside of the module) created? I have asked this question before in numerous formats, but I have never gotten a complete answer. I would not mind if people used this particular thread to list off all the places they have managed to successfully visit inside of the city. That way, people know what is open and what might be open. I know there are at least seven places on the map which are tagged, but the doors are always locked. I was hoping that if at least one of those was open by now, someone else had managed to get in there see what is inside. Sure, some people say that it takes away from the mystery of the game, but I find it mysterious enough that those TrollBark Trolls haven't eaten that one guy who you can purchase stuff from somewhere in the map itself. (*grins*)
And yes, I am doing this MAINLY to see if anyone has managed to go to Elaith's place or that one Mage Shoppe elsewhere in Waterdeep. I have no idea if either one of those locales is class specific, but I doubt it as I usually roll with my rogue/wizard blend. On a related note, more race/class relegated items wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. I am trying out an orcish barbarian and I've yet to find something that would be unique to her (yet). Maybe when I reach those higher levels I'll discover a good signature weapon and armor for her. Take one off of those skinny little toothpick chicks that call themselves "dark elves" (everyone knows they are colourblind...) and show them how a REAL WOMAN wears her armor. HAH! (*coughing and snickering as the player is just a guy who only looks good in a business suit.*)

Many of those locked doors are tagged areas will open right after the release of the new Hakpak. Each will be filled with stuff and many will have quests. Elaiths quest will be COOL! (and he will have many to do). And maybe even one to Evermeet.
I am redoing Mirts place, and maybe Khelbens tower (a new unique tile piece for the buildings). Should be fun! |

Never even been inside Mirt's place, Ziroc. Never found a way in to be exact. Knocked on the door, but nobody was home. Oh in terms of the new hakpack, are some of those ideas you dragged out of people for new weapons, armaments, and items going to be made available through the new stores? If so, I cannot wait to see it. As well, have you used any of the various models on the Vault as of recent? You DO remember Cloudbringer is looking forward to seeing bunnies. *smirks* That, and I know the dragongolems would make a nice addition to the various creatures you have roaming through the undermountain.
Come to think of it, I should go looking for undead models. I figure that the Undead Isles could use a little more variation, as they seem to be THE place for strange and terrible creatures which are no longer alive to make their home. That and water-based models. Oh, something I have always wondered (more technical than anything else). I know there are a few enemies in Level Nine you cannot reach by any regulra means, and therefore you have to use distance weapons to reach them. Is it possible to do the same with water-fields? As in make a few "platforms" where there would be a relatively large creature that uses all ranged attacks or spell effects, and then you would have to use similar to defeat it? It would make it possible to simulate "terrifyingly huge" creatures which lurked in some of the underground lakes and rivers that flow through the Undermountain. (Yes, I know that tentacle jokes will abound because of this.) As well, the same tactic could also be used for "flying" creatures where there is no actual "ground" beneath them. I have no idea how hard this would actually be to pull off, but it is something I have been trying to figure out for a while. No, I have never even TOUCHED the Aurora Engine, and I have no immediate plans to. I am more of an idea guy than anything. Evermeet = target practice. *grins* (so says Tophet, slave of Rhysia Yrilliach) And yes, I am one of the legions guilty of "skipping" levels to get to Level Twelve just for cash runs. I have seen my way through all the levels up to parts of Level Thirteen, but trying to go through the question part of Level Five takes forever with my machine. I have no idea why. I really hope I don't have to throw three hundred dollars into it JUST to make that section run faster. (*shrugs and has no answers for you why that section lags for me all the time*)

A new (but related) question for everyone: what would be the best upgrade for my machine so I could run this game better? This is what I have currently, and I just want to have this server run smoother on my computer:
AMD Sempron 2600+ 1 GB DDR RAM 120 GB HDD Radeon 9550 (AGP 8x graphics card) (figure those are the only parts that matter)

Should run really well, from what I can see. If you are having problems, have you tried a defrag?
