A player with two chars in tourney has to face the other char in the finals? Will it be called a draw? In light of Davis' surprising victory over Fizban this morning, it has occured to me that this could turn out to be a definite possibility. So, will I just get to have two statues??

Well, ya' know, I wasn't really, just adding to the tension, so to speak. Davis has a mages number, evidently, but I believe Anah will probably lose. For much the same reasons that Davis won. Just have to see how high Amana can pump up her ac, If it's not high enough, then she will die, and I'm left facing TDC's tank. Tank against tank, who did the better job.

Just giving you a hard time. As the first victor in the tourney, it is your duty to be a braggart. Otherwise, what are you fighting for?

He definatly had my number. If only I could extend Timstop to get that last IGMS off. unfortunatly he just had to many hit points and I had to little.
Great fight though. Definatly giving me some things to think about.

Well, so much for this thought, I didn't even get out of round 2. I'm going back to char building school...

If robertthebard does take a course at that char building school then I for one am going to stay well out of his way if we have another tounament.
What happened when we had the Kadan/Davis fight was that two very similar character builds met. It was obvious to us both after 30 seconds that there could be no winner. We put up alternatives and got a result that way but Davis was not defeated. Similar thing with Timur and Amana. Timur was not defeated but Amana goes through. What has surprised me is how how even the various builds I've seen so far are. What seems to matter is not the build but how it's played. I am finding it difficult to take the potions, sort the weapon I want, make sure I don't charge someone with acid sheath when I pick a melee weapon etc, etc. while I'm in the fight. If anyone has done pvp regularly and has the knowledge and reflexes to use the right tactics then they have a big advantage. |

You didn't see Davis' first fight, he charged right through the acid sheath, and the other dmg dealing shields. Fortunately for him, he was dealing more dmg than the shields were, and Fizban wasn't immune to sneaks. Made a world of difference.
As to our match, yep, it was a definite stale mate, and it did teach me a thing or two about that particular build. Next time, it won't be 20 lvls rogue. I think maybe 15/15/10 would have been more effective: rogue/fighter/wm.

Rogue/fighter/weapon master. Choices, choices.
For Undermountain weapon master is a good idea. But we now know Dev Crit doesn't work against the characters we have in the tourney (though I seem to recall someone saying they did get one in). Close call, but I still fancy monk rather than weapon master for the AC bouses and the boots and amulets available in EfU. Plus if Dev Crit doesn'nt work then a Dex based monk is probably a better choice for pvp (self concealment is a nice feat). Am I giving clues to my opponents or what? |

Little late for this one...I really hate dual classing monks though, something about it chaffs my hide. Not really sure why.
