Hi Fellow Adventurers prepair to meet thy DOOM!

You may have herd that a few PC's have stumbled across Ziroc's secret Test entrance to the 13th Level. Well late last night I was wandering around in the unfinished 13th Level checking out what things do and found entrances to a dozen or so areas that were still not open to beta testing. This looks to be the most dangerous level "Z" has put together so far. There is some of the most powerful Drow I have ever come up against. He has creatures down there that will make a group of 6 PC's at level 40 each Just drop their weapons and run for their lives. He is not going to make this level easy for anybody. In fact this is the challange level, You will need more than just Brute strength to win your way through to these quest areas, all that strength will get you here is the whole level attacking you at the same time. They come from everywhere one after another and each one stronger that the one before, just to slaughter you and then lear over your dead body, Waiting for you to respawn. When you do they give you a second or two and then the Drow hords jump on you tearing you to pieces and then waiting again for you to respawn.

There are Treasures to be found everywhere and they look like easy picking until you try to pick one up or try to open a chest and BOOM see ya dude. There are traps that flat kill you not just sting you a little, they blow your PC to little bits... No not really that bad sounded good though LOL.

This is no push over level and that's no joke! Ziroc Has opened up his bag of tricks and is using then all. You will see and fight creatures you have never seen before, Monsters that make the rest of undermountain's creatures look like wimps. This is uber book camp and the more uber you are the harder and more Uber the monsters are.
I met up with Ziroc down there he was adjusting traps makeing them more powerful and setting them to cause more damage.
He said that none of the warrior Drow will drop any treasures or weapons and that he will not tone them down this time the stronger the and meaner the better. People are going to know what a real dangerous level this is and that it will take brains to win over this level not strength. Then again no wimp will live long down there.

I can hardle wait for some of the so called super PC's that have run through the undermountain to meet their match on level 13, SPLAT

Comming to and Undermountain near you!!!

LEVEL 13, the land of the Drow and the Power Ranger that guards it!
come one come all and bring body bags. HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

About time that the traps became more deadly, and that there should be pickable locks on chests or doors.... including sneak missions, assassinations, etc. Starting to worry that rogues-skill classes are losing their jobs.

From what I have seen of Lvl 13 is, It's alot like the song Hotel California if you remember the words: "You can check out anytime you like but, you can never leave!"
I went into one area that is all sand and flat and somewhat on the dark side all the time. As you run along all of a sudden you find yourself face to face with Scorpions so I turn to run back from where I started and more scorpions are in my path. There are some kind of shadow creatures with them and they level drain you faster than any other creature in the undermountain ever has. Then after fighting these Bugs for more than an hour and 25 potions of heal later I find the door again and you need somekind of key to unlock it and I don't have it. so I start looking in the areas I haven't Explored yet and what do I find? Bigger Scorpions ! I say to myself Now Ziroc this is what I call the Undermountain. ALL the odds are against you; no place to run no place to hide. Just stand and fight and hope that you outlast all that Halaster sends at you if you can. and then I think to myself this is just one of the many doors Ziroc has placed on this level and this area I'm in now is Huge.
I've run in one direction for 5 min and found an Edge as I travel along this Edge I come to a left turn and I think how can there be a left turn here I'm already at the edge, Then again this area is bigger still than what I thought! My god I'm Never getting out of this area its its??? OH CRAP I think I found out where the scorpions are coming from because here comes an army of them so I turn and "RUN LIKE HELL" WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

Once Again I'm dead but this time I'm out of potions and my spells and wands are used up. no use to respawn again, no way out, no friends to heal me so I'm done for the night I click the quit game.
I can't wait for these areas to be finished!! In just the little Time I have spent in the 13th Lvl I'v found the areas are massive and Dangerous and one hell of alot of fun and unlike every other level things jump up out of the ground under your feet and attack you and thats just one suprise. I'm not going to tell you any more of them you'll have to find them for yourselves?

Well... the other night (or was it two nights ago?) I logged on late and was the only one there. So I snuck on down to level 13. Went around the saw all the neat things that had been setup so far. Eventually, there was nothing more to be done except fight.

SO... using Ehrys Hawkwood (40th level ranger/mage/fighter), I basically used as much strategy as possible, about 30 healing potions, all my spells and range weapon combat as necessary. Wiped out all the Drow from the entire place except the merchants and that "power ranger Drow" that can't be killed. Died about 12 times, mostly when I got surrounded and protective spells failed me.

That was a good game.

Question Z: keep coming upon the rebel Drow fighting the other Drow and getting slaughtered, and arriving too late to help. Is that supposed to happen that way, or is it that the warring factions have been put too close and wandered within range of eachother?

I like the idea of the Rebel faction. In fact, I'm wondering if this might build into something culminating in a huge epic style battle (like in HOTU)?

That scripted event is meant to occur, And the Wolfhead cave they came from will be their base. They are a rebel house that was....well, I won't give it away, but you're right in a way Drow Politics..
