You cannot go to TotSC areas after you kill Sarevok. You have to go there before. Most TotSC areas start in Ulgoth Beard...

Do you mean BG1tutu? I think you are required to beat Sarevok before moving on to ToTSC in that.

I don't have BG1 installed right now, but I was in the same boat you're in: I installed TotSC after playing (and beating) BG1 several times. There should be documentation on the TotSC CD (perhaps in the ReadMe?) that says what you have to do to get the new TotSC areas to appear.

To get to the ToSC areas in a game that you started before you installed ToSC:
1) Go to the game's main directory (Games\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate, or something like that. It's been a while).
2) Run the program called MCONVERT.
3) Go back into the game, and the new areas can now be opened up normally: Head north from the bridge in front of BG City to get to Ulgoth's Beard, and/or head east from Nashkel to access Durlag's Tower.

To get to the ToSC areas in a game that you started after you installed ToSC:
1) You don't even need to run MCONVERT, the game starts with the updated map automatically.
