not that anyone in my party even uses the AI, even if it is on, but is there an easy way to write scripts for my people, or do i have to download some mods]

I don't know how easy it is to write them, but Dundee is writing one write now, although it's for BG2. I guess it's not too hard to write one...

To write a script is easy, to make a good script is hard, especialy for a magic user. But hunt around on sorcerors place and so on and you should be able to find some decent scripts.
But personaly, I prefer to keep control. Even the best script can't take tactical considerations into account.
