I'm seriously stuck in the creator ruins in chapter 3, I've opened the gate to the 2nd word of power but now I have a freakin Balor Lord in my way! up till now I thought my fighter kicked ass but I cant even touch this boss, any secrets to killing this thing?

what kind of weapon do you have? I believe you might need +3 or better. don't remember real well.

i beat him with magic cause i'm a sorceror so i just blasted him with fireballs and used a shadow sheild so that his death attack wouldn't kill me.... i'm not sure how else to beat him. i'm sorry i can't be of more help...

Hi Shadow [img]graemlins/happywave.gif[/img] Welcome to the forums
 (I've been doing this alot lately [img]tongue.gif[/img] )I took on the Balor with a 19th level Dwarven fighter using a greataxe +3 - found it a really easy fight which was a bit sucky so my suggestion would be the same as ratchilds... try a bigger weapon [img]graemlins/blueblink.gif[/img]

yes the weapon was the problem, I had just upgraded a +3 sword and couldnt use it till I leveled up so I was using a +1 sword

I beat him up with astral sword +2. he died so fast that I diidn't loss a single hp.

Just a note for future players. Try the ceremonial spear given by the Elk Tribe leader, that is if you reached a peaceful solution. Its +3 against normal size and +4 against Giant. It proved better than my sorcerers fireballs and magic attacks. Of course it wouldn't hurt to drink bull strength, cats garce, Bless, and anything else in your bag of tricks. I don't care what these other guys say, at this point in the game he is plenty tough.
