After spending 2 hours trying to find out an mdl editor, and then 3 more hours trying to understand gmax, I finaly found out mdl files are compressed in ascii, so I can simply open them up into a text editor to change the internal name of the files... [img]graemlins/crying.gif[/img]

So I was talking to a friend on the phone while manually renaming all my mdl files to txt and changing the 6-7 name reference in each, and for about 15 mins non-stop stop, all the files I was opening were only random symbols and numbers, I figured they were corrupted and kept doing it, moving all of them into a seperate folder for furter investigation, when I realised I had finished the mdl files a long time ago and was in the plt section...
That's what happen when I skip a night...
