NPC question

I've run into a few NPCs and have a question. I turned down Eldoth because I like who's in my party. Does that mean I can't do his quest? The same applies for Faldorn. I'm about to go looking for her, but again, am happy with my party. If I don't agree to let her join, will I be unable to complete her quest?

Faldorn is the druid in the Cloakwood area, and AFAIK, her only quest is to destroy the people in the Cloakwood Mines. That's part of the storyline, so you can stiill complete it.
Eldoth wants to rescue Skie. You can't get her with out having Eldoth in your group, I think.

Alternatively, you could consider just taking on a particular NPC just for the duration of their quest for potential xp bonuses before dropping them and regrouping your old favourite party.

I've done that with Kivan, having dropped him after completing the bandit camps and assigning both Safana to round out my neutral/evil party. I feel Kivan really should feel a kind of inner peace, but no...he was bitter until the very end.

It almost sounds greedy the more I think about it, wanting to get the best of both worlds without actually taking the NPC on. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
But I know what its like not wanting to give up on characters you've worked so hard to develop, they can become quite a sacred unit sometimes where any change seems blasphemous.

In my last game, I used Faldorn right to the very end and if nurtured well in the backlines of battles and used cleverly enough, she can be very handy despite the complaints of those who despise her for whatever power gamey reason.

Whilst we're talking about NPC quests - does Tiax have one?
I can't remember, as his ego-maniacal ravings have generally irked me into killing him. However, if Safana hasn't 'earnt her keep' by the time I meet Tiax, I might yet try him out....
