THACO?

I'm kind of embarrased to say this, but, what is THACO? I never played D&D because I can't afford it, so I'm still fuzzy on a few things.

To Hit Armor Class 0 (zero) AKA it is the # you must roll on 1d20 to thit something with an armor class of zero. To get a better grip on this stuff i suggest the forum FAQ.

But there IS no forum FAQ on the BG1 forum!

About 10 months ago or so, a guy named Six of Spades created a website about the Baldur's Gate series. Titled Volothamp's Comeuppance after the roguish wizard in the Belching Dragon Inn (and also banters with Elminster in the manual), Six's site describes very little about BG1 and BG2, but a lot about how these games work. He gives a very good explanation of THAC0 in the Chapter 2 glossary, as well as some other things. Very informative, and very fun to read.

Hmmm.....that's weird. Your computer must have thought you just typed "www.geocities.com." That site would ask you for your name and password, since it wants to know who you are, so it can let you work on your webpages. But the links provided by Pirengle, Dundee, and myself all should work....let me know if they don't. (The link Dundee gave just takes you past the website's pretty splash page, that's the only difference.)

But that doesn't mean it's not a helpful site [img]smile.gif[/img]
