I think I speak for roughly 90% of the Ironworks forum when I say that we all love Baldur's Gate. Save maybe the console game ripoff. It's too diablo-esque to bear the BG name for my taste.

it really is very very good isn't it - i'm in a Shadows of Amn phase at the moment but its all good - i even spend big chunks of time at work musing over the perfect (usually solo) character* - sixofspades (who you'll come to know) nicely encapsulated it in a similar thread when he pointed out that even your characters footstep sounds change when you walk off a wooden floor onto a rug and then again when you walk back onto the floor . . . * currently fighter/thief by the way
