Can someone give me some specs for a robe and helm that would make it so i can dodge almost all attacks with my sorceress?? i need to be able to dodge attacks from melee players...
what i have to work with is a Robe and a Helm, what specs should i put on them to make this work?? They both need to be around the level 20 range too, so nothing too overpowering. Any other tips in feats or anything that could help in this would be nice too. thx in advance |

So you want to make a custom robe for a dodging lvl 20 PvP sorcerer?
Well here are some things I can think of for you to add to the robe to help with dodging (or otherwise avoiding damage from melee): * Ability bonuses to DEX * AC bonuses * Damage resistance (or even immunity) to slashing, piercing, and/or bludgeoning damage * Dodge feat if your character doesn't already have it I don't have much experience with designing custom items, especially not with higher level characters in mind. Just fire up the NWN Toolset. Mess around with the custom robe until you have what you want. Then create a simple module containing a room with a chest. Put your custom robe in the chest and then have your character pick it up.

There will be no "legal" way you can create such item for Multiplayer games, which enforce "legal items". Adding all these bonuses to that robe will give it a much higher level requirement, then lvl 20, so you just can't wear it in "legal" games.
If it's "open for anything" game, then there's really no point. After you make that robe, the melee person will make a sword which shoots out lightning bolts and what not else, and still kill you in close combat. Then you make yet better robe, he makes better sword.. Endless. Not to mention - you are NOT supposed to win close combat melee fight, as a spellcaster, against a melee char, EVER. If you let melee char near you, then you did something wrong. You have to keep your distance and use your spells. There's spells which can make one immobile too, use these on him and then shoot from distance. I have yet to see any range limits on spells or ranged weapons in NWN...

im not planning on winning a upclose melee battle, i just want to be able to take a few hits, or in this case dodge the few hits that come at me in case someone gets in close. And im playing in "open for anything" type of server, yes, But it only supports server vualt chars, so anything i want needs to be sent to the DM and approved.

Dont forget the dodge AC bonus is the only one that stacks, so if it's a high dodge AC you want, spread the bonus out amongst the two items to avoid either being over-powerful.
