My Ranger (9), Rogue (3), Fighter (2) is basically wandering about chopping all and sundry to bits and generally making herself useful to all and sundry. Currently there is just one thing bugging me. I'm in the Coldwood area and have just retrieved the snowglobe. Before I leave the area I would realy like to set whoever/whatever is locked up in the prison area free. Generally this means finding a key or something, but I've been all around the area and don't think I've missed anything.

Oh, and I would also like to know the exact steps required to make Crystal Robes if anyone knows (it's mentioned in a recipe book thing I am toting about)

I think you mean the guy (Nax) locked up? Talk to him and he'll tell you he needs you to summon a water elemental. There should be at least one tome of water summoning which gives you the ingredients to put in the summoning pool (bottom left) and a ring that casts melf's acid arrow if you can't cast it yourself.

To make the crystal robes you stick whatever reagents it says (can't remember myself ) in the chest in Eltoora's lab, then cast enervation on the chest [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm probably stuffed then. I summoned the water elemental a while back before talking to Nax and got a ring off her. Now she won't reappear even if I use the correct formula.

Eltoora will only let wizards and sorcerors use her magical forge in chapter 3. You're out of luck.

True - but anybody can use the lab that is accessed via the circle in Moonwood (if I remember rightly). I could make a couple of things there, but didn't have the spells for all of them.

Yeah, if you find the lab in the Wizard Dungeons in Coldwood, you can make pretty much anything, if you have the right spells. I think you can make a ring of regeneration there too, if you have the Ring of Melf. I can't really remember the other recipes, but I think (this is just a guess) that a fenberry and a quartz crystal will become the Crystal Robes if you cast Enervation on them in the lab. I did it before, but can't really remember.....

Yep, sorry - you're tanked. She only appears once. I saved before letting the guy free and played out all the answers to the Elemental's conversation. I ended up keeping the ring.
