Does anyone know where you find the key to go into the mines on the north road in chapter 2? I have played through the game twice and still can't find it.

* * * * * * * If you are talking about the port last mines, you can get the key from Kendrack in the barracks. He has a mission for you.

he'll give you the key when you bring in enough of the ears of the bad guys... ok that's a little vague, when you bring in the ears of teh escapes convicts from waterdeep
