Compared to the Infinity Engine infterface? Is it as intuitive and easy to use as the BG games?

Also, how are you guys finding the framerate updates when you move around? Are they smooth or jerky?

I can't believe I'm waiting for this @#$% thing to go on sale here in OZ...

Umm this feels much more 1st person than did the BG series. (not a good way to describe it but the best I could come up with) Frame Rate is smooth and there is more detail I think. The interface is easy not better than or worse than BG different. If you follow the dialog for the tutorials you should have no problems. Im not having any real dificulties in combat or in exploration mode. I will admit, Im not useing the magic system though since Im a low level ranger.

I'm not sure about the engine since i havent got my hands on it. BUT judging from Ziroc's screenshots. the interface looks mightily decent!

*Hopes NwN falls from the sky unto my Drive now.*

The graphics are very nice, no seaming or visible slowdown with most of the graphic details on high. I'm running a 900 Athlon with a Geo4 Ti4200 and 512MB. I am playing a gnome wizardress, only level 4 so I pretty much rely on the henchman and familar/pet to kill things. The one thing I would like is an option to continually use an item. I'm sure most budding casters will rely heavily on the unlimited charged frost wand in the beginning stages of the game and you have to manually click for each attack unlike with ranged or melee weapons. Targeting can get a little tricky as I've accidentally zapped my own allies in the heat of battle unless I pause. The one major gripe I do have is why they don't include a transparent radius showing the area of effect of your AE spells like fireball. It's already pretty tough to aim the thing accurately when you try to factor in the delay of spell casting against moving creatures and you have to watch out for your own pets/henchman who charge right in.

Looks great here too, running it on a P4, Geforce3, 512 RDRAM.

I'm playing as a Rogue/Scout, so again, I'm another who cannot comment on magiks. The camera angles and environment graphics are just superb - it's very immersive. (is that a word?)

Framerates are extremely smooth ~ I've had no rubber banding or jerking at all. I've experienced a 'tiny' jerk during the movies playing, and others have been reporting this as well. So perhaps something a little funny there that needs to be tweaked out, but other than that, everything seems very solid.

I'm impressed - but for me personally, given a choice between the two, I prefer the Infinity Engine. And second edition rules. Again though - that's just my own personal preference.

It's much like the BG2 'feel', and when you move it is VERY smooth-I DO have a P4 2.4Ghz though !!

Do what I did and turn on the chase camera, it's nice, and you can still use the arrow keys to 'steer' the camera.

I personally think AUS (And every other large country) should get PC Games the same time as we do.. It sucks, I wanna be able to hook up online with you and some others and play a game of NWN!!!!

I have no complaints. The graphics are smooth, movement easy enough. I would like to be able to rotate the camera closer to ground level, but otherwise ok. With the quickbar skill and and feat using are easy once you assign them. plus you can always pause the game and issue commands (and even put them in queue...sorta like the sims ) diaologue is exactly how it was in the other bioware games, as is the item searchs.
I think that anyone who feared that moving to a more modern 3d engine with this game will have their fears alleviated when they finally pick up this game and give it a go.
