does anyone have any idea how to protect a solo necromancer in bg1 totsc as the lack of mirror image is really a pain in the butt, its extremely irritating wen i keep getting shot to pieces by kobolds in the mines. any help appreciated

thats a tough one... u could summon monsters and sent them in as cannon fodder

yeah i think that'll probably be my best bet until i get hold of the robe of the archmagi cheers for the suggestion, oh by the way WE SHOULD HATE THE KOBOLD!

Make sure that you are using your Armour or Shield spells as they can be quite useful....(if you're not already, that is).

Being as how you are a solo mage, won't you have quite the sum of gold, even after buying an archmagi robe. Being as how you will have quite the sum of gold, couldn't you buy a few mirror image scrolls, and use them in your item quickslot? I'm pretty sure mages from one school can cast spells from an opposing school via scroll, but just not memorize those spells. You probably don't want to load up your inventory on scrolls, but at least you could buy some for those evil encounters that you just plain need it.

yes actually u can cast spells from opposite schools from scrolls cheers for that very useful, however i have put my necromancer on hold for a while and gone back to my roots.....I love fighters
