Well here is a nice way to start the game with an advantage early.Inside the inn is Firebead Elvenhair a old wizard that its death worth 2700exp.So just kill him!!
-----------------------F.A.Q.!!!!!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q:Why him?
a:Cause his death doesnt turn all the others hostile you just loose 4 in reputation.

q:How? He is too strong!
a:Correct but it can be done.i have made it with fighters/rangers/thiefs i didnt make it with a mage.Well if your fighters has profficiensies in missile (like mine cause i like crossbows) take darts and with 3+ attacks per round he is easy cause you will always interrupt its magic. But i did it with a bow with my ranger and with a thief with backstabing and bow.

q:What i should be aware?
a:If you start going up and down the stairs above one time the inn keeper will turn hostile, else he wont!! (bug?)

q:What i should be aware no2?
a:If you have problem with the 2 horror spell he is using in the start upstairs in the third room in a really easy open -locked chest is a potion that prevents fear (you can do it without it-sell it instead it worth 350 gold,a small fortune in the start.

q:What do i GAIN?
a: 1)2700 exp=lev2 for warriors ,lev3 for thievess!!(pretty good hah?)
2)his robe(worth 300 gold),300 gold,a scroll from tethorill,i strongly advice to go sell the robe and the scroll raise your reputatiion (with 400 gold from 7 you do it 11!)

q:What i loose?
a:A small quest later in beregost nothing really great

q:But i am a lawfull-good character
a:First i dont care and second in the game you are going to do sooo many nice and gooddy things that doing that evil really made me feel GOOD!! After all tell yourself that you sacrifised him in order to save the world.

Yes stred I always kill him too because... He appears again in Beregost !!! At least in my game (I think I have the latest patch) it doesn´t care if I kill him in Candlekeep, he always appears again in Beregost, and the best is that his quest here gives you 1 reputation !!

And second, I don´t know if it´s a bug or if it happens with other NPCs, but if I pause the game when he´s starting to cast a spell, he stops as if I interrupted him. That way is so easy to kill him.

BYE !!
