When you become a member of the sorcery guild and speak to Roendalf in Valeia for a quest, he asks to look for Scabban. I went to the crypt, killed him and now Roendalf doesn't say anything about that quest. The same happens in the town hall, where I had to kill Juba Thobbers, did it and he doesn't recognise I did so.
Can somebody explain what I did wrong? Thanks |

Hi Rusty and welcome to the forum!
Did you have the character with the quest highlighted when you spoke to Roendalf? That might be the problem there since I can't think of any reason why he would not recognize you completed the quest. Try the same with the town hall and the Juba Thobers quest even though it seems to me that since everyone in your party gets the credit, anyone should be able to be highlighted when you walk in. Hopefully we will see some more possibilities to getting this one solved as the day progresses! ![]() Moni |

1. Scabban: This is a bug in the game. The quest is completed when you enter his laboratory, not when you talk to him. You have met him outside his laboratory most probably. Try to return to Asylum, enter the laboratory, go to and fro in it, and return to the Wizard Guild. Perhaps it helps. If it does not then you must reload and try again. (Note: I recommend not to kill Scabban during the quest because of this bug. Return later, when you have finished the quest. Or save at Scabban during the quest so as you can reload when you do not get any reaction from Roendalf.)
2. Juba Thobbers: I think your only reward is another quest. |

Rusty, I would like to add that you should always save your game in several different slots...like one when you first get the quest, one (or two) during the quest, and again when you get credit for it...this can save you alot of time and heartache having to go back and redo some things when the game has trouble being aware of what you have done or if you missed something and want to go back and redo it! These things won't happen often, but they do happen and reloading a game from ten minutes prior is always easier than having to go back hours or even days!
Best of Luck to you! Hope you are enjoying the game! ![]() Moni |
