Search?!? It don't work!

I haven't been able to use the "Search" feature here for weeks. It ALWAYS times out. I've used it at various times of the day, on multiple days. Is there any plan on getting it fixed?

The plan is to get the new board up and running problem free. It will be faster and searches will take less time. As for here, I do searches regularly and haven't had it time out on me once so not sure what is causing the difficulty you're experiencing.
If you need to, Dr. Bob, just email me what you want looked up - and I'll ferret it out and push it back to the top for you!

I just wanted to let you know that I have NEVER had a problem using the search feature when I follow these steps:

# 1 Use Netscape

# 2 Type in your keyword

# 3 Click on "Match All Words"

# 4 Leave the Date alone and change search method to "Subject and Message"

# 5 Click on the Wizards & Warriors Forum

# 6 Click on Search

I have seen it be busy for a while when it has to locate commom subjects (13,000 posts to search though) but I have yet to see an actual time out and no response.

It times out on me for about half of my attempts.

I have also been experiencing problems with the search of late. It loads up to 39%, then stops and says it found "this many" matches, but doesn't show me anything but a black screen. This has happened four times in the last few days. I never had any problems before this. The last search I did, I changed something (don't know what, I was pretty frustrated at the time) and it worked, but only brought up one match.

Wondering if your internet connection has anything to do with that...I can still use the search option with results.
