To get back to the lost sea, do you have to go through the temple of isis each time. I had a portal and teleported to get back to Brimlock roon the first time but now I have got to get back to the lost sea to start the collasium. is there an easy way back there or do I have to go through the whole temple again..??

I have just done a monk quest while I was wandering for two days I explored as many other ways to the lost sea that I could find. i.e. the closest points on the map and trying to climb over trees e.t.c. I even telepoted the ship to land and tried to climb over that but all to no avail and I have tried to use the vanish trick to get past the tress but that wont work.

Please someone tell me there is another way to the lost sea as I would like to use this rather than go through the temple each time..??

P.S. has anyone managed to use multiple portals so far..??, I have tried but each time the teleport is cast it takes you to the last portal you made.

First of all: each area can have only 1 portal at the same time: every dungeon one and one in each of the 3 overland areas.
If you haven't created a portal while you were at the other side you have a bit of a problem. Going through the temple isn't that much work, but otherwise I know of only one way to go to the other side, and I bet that takes more time. You can climb the wall of Brimloch Roon, right next to the door. Then you can hop on top of the trees, and hug the edge of the map all the way along the south. You'll have to look up and jump continually to move forward over the tree tops.
Note that not all areas around the lost sea enable you to teleport to them. So if you create a portal: save before hopping 'home', and after Call of Home immediately try if the teleport will work. That way you can save a lot of time selling things before finding out the teleport fizzles.
Safe places are: The island in the middle, and the piece of land with the cart on it, just south of the entrance to the isle of sands.
