Is there any way to get from Ishad N'ha to Brimloch Roon without going through the caves where the dragon is? I have been there once but had to go back to Ishad N'ha. Now how do I get back to Brimloch?

Too late, you need to create portal and teleport if you want to avoid going through Dragonspire again! I thought I read that someone climbed up the side of the mountain, but I can't be sure.

It is 6th level moon spell (if you didn't know). Ready the spell and press the control key while left clicking on one of your party. Make sure you are on the Dragonspire side of Brimloch Roon. You'll know if you did it right if the message says something like "Portal Created". Than after you are out of Ishad N'ha on the Dragonspire side cast the Teleport spell which should take you back to Roon.
Hope this helps! Mark |

I've climbed the Spire countless times, with no less than four different leading characters.
The "secret" is Athletics, and a lot of them: I think Lvl 9 is the lowest possible for scaling -- my most recent character, an Elf Ninja, was able to climb it at Lvl 9 after SEVERAL tries, and a lot of damage from continued falls. However, my Pixie Zenmaster from my first playthrough, Lvl 12 Athletics, climbs it without a second thought; ditto for a Gnome Assassin and an Elf Valkyrie, both Lvl 12 Athletics. All of these characters, save my current Elf Ninja, are resting peacefully in Valeia's Inn, ready to come out and demonstrate their skills to any questioning people This board, in general, seems to regard the scaling of the Spire as something of an urban legend; let me assure you that it is not, and at the same time offer my praise of the Athletics skill -- with high Athletics, you can seriously mess with this game's already not-exactly-perfect physics modeling. So, go climb a Spire, Nancy |
