approaching the end

Just before I went in and did away with Cet, I cast lavawalk and explored the cavern with the lava floor. I went to the right and down, as you look at the map in the lower left hand corner, and I found a ledge with an amulet or necklace like the warrior's stone. I couldn't get it! Has anyone gotten this one? If you have what is it? A thank you to all who respond.

The amulet is something like 'the amulet of flame'. It (just) gives 50% prot. from fire. You can get it by jumping on the stepping stones in stead of staying down. (Though lavawalk is still a must unless you never miss a jump. )
I've always wondered if there is anything you can do with the amulets of the different elements: there is one of flame, one gem of the ocean, and at least one other I can't remember now. It would almost seem like they are part of a puzzle, like the tomes of the elements for Zen Master: esp. the flame one is absolutely worthless when you find it. But I've never found out what they could be used for. Anyone?

If you examine some of the amulets you can invoke them.
The ring of the neptune has protection from paralysis 25%, Hit +1 and Regeneration +1 -
