ok, how do I get the Arcane Prisoner to talk to me? I have tried everything I can think of, all to no avail. I am at a loss as to how to proceed. I have visited the library, retrieved the book there, and have no idea where to go to now.

I have the Incense, but have no idea what to do with it. I do also have an empty flask, and plenty of eggs, but how do I make the elixer I hear of? How do I "squeeze the egg into the flask" that I have seen mention on the board?

How do I get further?

Any tips from the pros would be appreciated

He is Htrak and you should have gotten his lockpicks from Gorthius (SW Valeia). You need to talk to him and try to give them to him (it was a PAIN) or go back to the torture chamber and get the poker and use it on him. He will tell you about the ceremony to summon the Naga Spirit.

Somewhere in this area - I wish I could give you the exact location but it has been a while . . . I BELIEVE it is off the area you find the prisoner in - there is a room with a large wheel and a big press, also an alcove to your left (note button and secret room in here) and a door way to the right of the press. You go in the doorway and have a choice of going up a ramp or down a ramp. (HOPE YOU STILL HAVE THOSE GLASS FLASKS THE TEMPLE PEOPLE DROPPED!) Take the ramp that goes up, take a left (note if you take a right I believe you go to an area where there are 3 spiders above your head) and you will be under the press, drop a SPIDER EGG . . . go back and take the ramp that goes down (you will be below the press area and you need to place the flask on the grate under a spigot. Then you go back to the room with the wheel and USE the wheel until the narrator describes a squish . . . your flask has spider nectar (you can make as many as you have eggs, flasks and patience for and the others that you make will be cure poisons).

Astyanax would tell you that you can use the red hot poker on the prisoner (if you don't happen to have his lockpicks).

Is Astyanax serious? There really is a use for that thing?

I dropped it long ago, giving into the need for inventory space =)
