Asking for a spoiler

I have heard (or in reality read) in theis forum that there is a piece of gear that transfers from BG1 to BG2 when you transfer your Charcter but only if your character is wearing it? Well, I give up...what is it?

It is the golden Pantaloons (which you can get from a noble at the top floor in the Friendly arms inn). Combine with silver pantaloons from BG2 and Bronze Pantaloons from ToB to make 'The Big Metal Unit'.

this might be a BG2:TOB question, but where do you get those silver/bronze one's? also, do i have to keep the tiger armor pelt for anything?.....

LMAO...I have been wondering what those pants purpose were for as long as I got this game....Now if I can only remember where I dropped them. By the way...do they have a purpose in BG1/TOSC?

Just to get money. I thought you had to identify them to complete the quest, but higher Charisma gives you a higher reward, but keeping em gives you an even higher reward than that one. Confusing eh?

Silver Pantaloons are getting the ransom for the Buried Alive Quest in the Graveyard
Bronze are by killing that guy in Abi-Dazl's lair, the one that gives you the quest to get the beholder stalk. Just kill him.

It's a quest that runs through BG, BGII and Throne of Bhaal... There is a pair in each game and if you get all three you can get them crafted into an item called the Big Metal Unit...
